Professionalism and Experience

Dr. Erik Márquez

Dr. Márquez completed his specialty in plastic surgery at the “Dr. Manuel Gea González” General Hospital, a program led by the prominent plastic surgeon and Doctor Honoris Causa of the UNAM, Dr. Fernando Ortiz-Monasterio. He underwent training rotations at the Brazilian Institute for Cancer Control and the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo, Brazil, as well as at the University Clinical Hospital in Valencia, Spain. He also completed a Fellowship in aesthetic surgery with Dr. Fernando Molina Montalva at the Ángeles del Pedregal Hospital.

He won First Place in the International Residents Competition of the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2010 in Panama City and Second Place in the National Residents Competition of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Dr. Fernando Ortiz Monasterio in 2009.

Currently, he is a full professor at UNAM in the specialization course for plastic and reconstructive surgery at the National Rehabilitation Institute Dr. Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra and an attending physician at the National Center for Burn Patient Research and Care (CENIAQ). His professional license number is 4050376, his specialist license number is 5907321, and his certification number with the Mexican Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is 1496.
